Typically a wet pipe sprinkler installation is fully charged with water from a reliable water supply. The installation is pressurised with the alarm valve secured open. When a sprinkler head reaches the temperature at or above the rating of the glass bulb or fusible link, it will release, allowing water to flow through the affected sprinkler only.
